Judah Swilley
Lead Pastor
Judah Swilley is the founder and Lead Pastor of The Movement Church. Having grown up in a pastor's home, he is a fifth generation preacher. Born on August 31, 1990, it's safe to say ministry has been the centerpiece of his life since day 1.
Judah attended Kennesaw State University. He served as youth pastor of Church In The Now in Conyers, Ga for 6 years, from 2009 to 2015. He took a youth group of 15 teenagers and grew it to one of the nation's largest youth ministries, drawing 400 teens weekly.
In addition to pastoring The Movement Church, Judah is a performing and recording artist; He has starred in Oxygen's hit show Preachers Of Atlanta; and has served as Executive Director of Ignite The World Inc.
When asked why he started The Movement Church, Judah replied, "Ministry is literally within my DNA; it is not just what I do, it is who I am. I'm passionate about people and I want to see a positive change take place, especially in the hearts and minds of this next generation. Many people have been hurt by church and I want to help lead the reformation, re-branding, and rebuilding of the "new church" - one that is built on love, truth, and grace for all people. Church is still relevant and can still be very effective for people looking for community, inspiration, and hope. That's what we're offering here at The Movement."
